Data Collection Management Specialist I

Job Responsibilities:

General Description:

As a member of the evaluation team, this individual is responsible for client-level data collection and entry, ensuring high data quality and is responsible for secure data storage and data transfers.

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Perform and/or assist with client level data collection, through client interviewing and surveying.
  • Enter data from paper or digital documents into requisite databases, with high level of data accuracy and minimal entry errors.
  • Verify data management standards by conducting quarterly data audits; comparing entered data to source documents and verifying that data standards are met.
  • Sort, label and maintain hard-copy records in a methodical, organized manner.
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  • Plan and coordinates tracking activities and provides input regarding the design, development, and implementation of data collection tools and data systems.
  • Implement strong privacy protections to maintain protected health information and financial documents.
  • Work with pertinent Program Director and Program Evaluation Director to ensure fidelity to the evaluation plan, timely data collection and reporting.
  • Perform other functions as required to help achieve program outcomes.

Job Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Fast typing skills (60 WPM or higher preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and perform with little supervision.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA Privacy Rule.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability communicate effectively with clients and service providers.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in public health, social services or other related field or significant and demonstrated work experience in data collection and management.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in performing client level data collection, data entry and other activities related to data management.
