Data Collection Management Specialist II

Job Responsibilities:

General Description:

As a member of the evaluation team, this individual is responsible for auditing data quality and data management systems, basic data analysis and reporting,

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Develops and implements new internal data tracking systems to support evaluation of programs.
  •  Coordinates implementation of new data systems for use by Data Collection/ Management Specialists.
  • Assists the Program Evaluation Director with the design, development, and implementation of data collection tools and data systems.
  • Works with pertinent Program Director and Program Evaluation Director to ensure fidelity to the evaluation plan, timely data collection and reporting.
  • Conducts data quality and security audits.
  • Produces data queries and reports to support program evaluation and monitoring.
  • Collects unstructured data and deposits key variables into requisite databases in preparation for data cleaning and analysis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of data management systems.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
  •  Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and perform with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability communicate effectively with clients and service providers.
  •  Advanced knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, social services or other related field.
  •  Significant and demonstrated experience with data collection and data management
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in data management.
  • Experience using MS Access (specifically database development, query building and report building)
  • Experience using MS Excel (specifically pivot tables and formulas)
  • Experience in developing basic reports
