Job Responsibilities:

General Description:

The Senior Training Specialist will be responsible for developing, organizing, and administering the training strategy for Prism Health North Texas. This role will provide the educational and training resources necessary for employees across the organization to perform their jobs effectively and proficiently.

 

The ideal candidate for this role will thrive on the opportunity to create a training strategy from the ground up and will be proficient at using multiple modalities to facilitate adult learning, including written content, reference guides, virtual and in-person training.  The candidate will create and implement a training plan for the organization, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, grant deliverables and systems that support clinical and business operations, including electronic medical record, clinical applications, business management tools (MS Office 365), payroll and timekeeping systems, and employee professional development.

 

Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX) was founded as AIDS Arms Network in 1986. Since that time, the organization has grown significantly in size, breadth of services, and service delivery. The organization employs over 150 staff and maintains four health centers in North Texas, providing HIV primary care management, prevention through Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), and sexual health education and testing.  With a variety of medical and community-based programs, an estimated 30% of patients living with HIV in North Texas will receive services at one or more of the organization’s health centers.

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Design and develop appropriate training materials and professional development courses for PHNTX employees, including clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Facilitate interactive and engaging training programs for in-person and virtual classroom, including live stream and recorded webinars.
  • Write, edit, and format documentation and materials needed for each program including facilitator scripts/guide, training manuals, storyboards, service guides, help documentation, tutorials, webinars, and other training media, as applicable.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and Subject Matter Experts to determine needs, develop course content and evaluate effectiveness of training programs.
  • Establish instructional design and development standards for all existing and future training materials that support continued quality, speed of delivery, and learning reinforcement.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through interviews, surveys, and analysis with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize a learning management system to develop and create content, track and report adherence, and maintain a library of educational curriculum.
  • Serves as an enterprise-wide subject matter expert on training and education.
  • Creates, maintains, and manages training project plans and initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
  • High technical proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • 5 years of experience educating adults in a corporate setting.
  • 3 years of developing, facilitating, and implementing educational offerings.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Bi-lingual desired.
